Journal Overview
The SRC Journal of Radiation Studies and Techniques (JRST) is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal published by the Scientific Research Commission (SRC). JRST publishes methodologically rigorous original research and authoritative reviews in radiation science and radiation-enabled techniques across ionizing and non-ionizing domains, including validated laser/photonics-based techniques where they contribute to radiation–matter interactions, measurement, metrology, safety, or instrumentation.
JRST is a technical journal and does not publish clinical studies focused on patient diagnosis, treatment outcomes, or clinical efficacy. Submissions must provide sufficient methodological detail to support reproducibility, including relevant source/field parameters, calibration/traceability information, and uncertainty characterization where applicable.

Aims & Scope
JRST is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal that publishes original, methodologically rigorous research and authoritative reviews spanning radiation science and radiation-enabled techniques. The journal's remit integrates fundamental understanding of radiation and radiation–matter interactions with the design, validation, and deployment of radiation-based methods in medicine (non-clinical), industry, the environment, and research instrumentation. JRST does not publish clinical studies focused on patient diagnosis, treatment outcomes, or clinical efficacy.

For Authors
JRST publishes Original Research Articles, Review Articles, Technical Notes / Methods Papers, and Application or Validation Studies where the contribution is demonstrably technical, generalizable, and supported by quantitative validation. Clinical studies (clinical trials, retrospective chart reviews, patient outcome studies, or clinical case reports) are not accepted.
Manuscript Preparation
- Manuscripts must be written in clear English with professional technical terminology
- Use SI units and standard radiation units: gray (Gy), sievert (Sv), becquerel (Bq)
- Specify radiation source/type, beam/field parameters, geometry, shielding, measurement chain, and calibration traceability
- Provide dosimetry data and uncertainty characterization where applicable
- For computational studies: specify software/version, physics models, input datasets, and validation procedures
- Include all required declarations: funding, conflicts of interest, author contributions (CRediT), data availability, and ethics approval

Peer Review Process
All submissions undergo initial editorial screening for scope fit, policy compliance, ethics, and minimum reporting expectations before external peer review. JRST uses an impartial double-anonymous peer review process where feasible. Reviewers provide objective, constructive evaluation focused on technical soundness, clarity, and significance.

JRST is an open access journal. Authors retain copyright in their work and grant the publisher the rights necessary to publish and distribute the article. Published articles are typically licensed under Creative Commons (CC BY), allowing reuse with proper attribution.
