The Journal of Psychological Sciences is a leading Iraqi scientific quarterly journal established in 1994 and published by the Psychological Research Center under the Scientific Research Commission. The journal accepts Original Research Articles, Systematic Reviews, Meta-Analyses, Theoretical Articles, Case Studies, Brief Reports, and Scale Development Studies with significant contribution to psychological knowledge.
Manuscript Preparation Guidelines
- Manuscripts may be submitted in Arabic or English with a full abstract in both languages
- Research involving human participants must include ethics committee approval
- Follow APA 7th Edition for referencing and manuscript structure
- Include complete statistical analysis with effect sizes and confidence intervals
- Psychological measurement tools must report reliability and validity evidence
- Disclose all conflicts of interest and funding sources
- Maximum 8,000 words for full articles; 3,000 for brief reports
Peer Review Process
All submissions undergo double-blind peer review by at least two expert reviewers in the relevant psychological specialty. Authors receive detailed reviewer feedback within 6–8 weeks of submission. The editorial board makes final decisions based on scientific merit, methodological rigor, and contribution to the field.
